Studio for the Performing Arts, Inc.
At Studio for the Performing Arts, we believe dance education is about more than learning choreography. Our programs are designed to help students develop technique, confidence, creativity, discipline, friendships, and a lifelong appreciation for dance
From a dancer’s very first class to advanced ballet, pointe, and performance opportunities, SPA offers programs for a wide range of ages, abilities, and interests.
Many of our classes are placement-based rather than strictly age-based, allowing our faculty to place each dancer in an environment where they can be appropriately challenged, supported, and encouraged.
Dancing Tots
Ages 2–3
Dancing Tots is the first step in our preschool dance program and is specially designed for our youngest dancers.
This fun and welcoming class introduces toddlers to movement while helping develop important early skills such as balance, coordination, body awareness, listening, socialization, and cooperative play.
Through music and age-appropriate movement activities, students begin becoming comfortable in a classroom environment while discovering the excitement of dance.
Class Length: 30 Minutes
Monthly Tuition: $45.00Payment Options
Families may choose our convenient direct debit/credit payment option and select a payment schedule that works best for their budget. Bi-weekly and monthly payment options may be available, along with the ability to extend the traditional 9-month tuition schedule over 10 or 11 months.
Dance Attire: Comfortable clothing and bare feet.
Please Note: Dancing Tots students do not participate in the recital.
Creative Movement
Ages 3–5
Creative Movement is the second step in our preschool dance program and begins introducing students to the foundations of ballet while continuing to encourage imagination and a love of movement.
Our curriculum is specifically designed for young dancers and combines education with creativity. Students begin learning basic ballet positions and terminology while continuing to develop balance, coordination, motor skills, musicality, spatial awareness, and classroom independence.
We want our youngest dancers to begin learning the structure of a dance class while still having the opportunity to use their imagination and simply enjoy moving to music.
Class Length: 30 Minutes
Monthly Tuition: $45.00Payment Options
Direct debit and credit payment options are available. Families may have the option to pay bi-weekly or monthly and select a payment date that works best for their budget. Tuition may also be eligible to be spread over an extended 10- or 11-month payment schedule.
Dance Attire: Solid leotard, tights, hair secured up, and pink ballet shoes.
Pre-Combo
Ages 5–7
Pre-Combo is the third step in our introductory dance program and begins transitioning young students into more structured dance training.
Students continue building upon the ballet terminology, positions, and movement concepts they have already learned while being introduced to the fundamentals of tap.
The one-hour class generally includes approximately 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap instruction.
In ballet, students continue working on posture, alignment, flexibility, balance, coordination, musicality, and technique.
In tap, students begin learning basic tap terminology, sounds, rhythm, timing, footwork, and introductory combinations.
Class Length: 1 Hour
Monthly Tuition: $70.00Payment Options
Families may utilize SPA’s direct debit/credit payment option with bi-weekly or monthly payment choices. Payment dates can be selected based on the family’s needs, and eligible tuition may be spread across 10 or 11 months rather than the traditional 9-month schedule.
Dance Attire: Solid leotard, tights, hair secured up, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Buckled tap shoes are preferred.
Stars Program
Approximately Ages 8–11
Placement Based on Ability
The Stars Program is designed for aspiring dancers who are ready to expand their training into multiple styles of dance.
Students continue developing their ballet and tap technique while adding jazz and lyrical to their dance education.
Ballet continues to provide the technical foundation of the program, helping students develop alignment, posture, strength, flexibility, control, balance, and proper technique.
Tap develops rhythm, musicality, coordination, timing, and increasingly detailed footwork.
Jazz allows dancers to explore energetic movement, turns, jumps, combinations, isolations, and performance quality.
Lyrical combines technical dance training with musical interpretation, emotion, expression, and storytelling.
Together, these disciplines help develop confident, versatile, and well-rounded dancers.
Class Length: Approximately 2 Hours
Full Program Tuition: $120.00 per month
Just Ballet Option: $50.00 per monthPayment Options
Families may choose direct debit or credit payments with bi-weekly or monthly options. Eligible tuition can also be extended from the traditional 9-month payment schedule to a 10- or 11-month schedule.

As students advance, we encourage them to develop not only as dancers but also as young performers. The program promotes poise, dedication, respect, confidence, responsibility, and teamwork.

Full Program Tuition: $170.00 per month
Just Ballet Option: $60.00 per monthPayment Options

Junior & Senior Programs
Placement Based on Ability
Our Junior and Senior Programs take dancers into the more advanced levels of their dance education.
Students are challenged with increasingly complex choreography while continuing to maintain proper technique in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap.
At these levels, dancers work to strengthen technique, flexibility, musicality, performance quality, stage presence, choreography retention, artistic expression, and overall confidence.
Our goal is to prepare dancers for whatever may come next. Whether they continue dancing recreationally, pursue additional performance opportunities, audition for programs, attend college, teach, or take their final bow at SPA, we want them to leave with a strong dance education and skills that extend far beyond the studio.
Students at the appropriate level may also be invited to participate in our Pre-Pointe and Pointe Program.
Full Program Tuition: $170.00 per month
Just Ballet Option: $85.00 per monthPayment Options
Families may choose direct debit or credit payments with bi-weekly or monthly options. Eligible tuition may also be spread across 10 or 11 months instead of the traditional 9-month schedule.

Families may have tuition automatically processed through a debit or credit payment option.
This helps keep accounts current while allowing our instructors to spend their class time focused on what matters most—teaching our dancers.
Bi-Weekly or Monthly Payments
Depending on your enrollment, you may choose between bi-weekly or monthly payment options.
Choose a Payment Time That Works for You
Families may have the opportunity to select the time of the month that works best with their individual budget.
Extended Tuition Payments
Instead of paying tuition over the traditional 9-month dance season, eligible families may have the option to spread those payments over 10 or 11 months.
Please contact the studio to discuss which payment arrangement is available for your dancer’s program.
A Program That Fits Your Dancer
We understand that every dancer has different interests.
If a student is interested in participating in only a portion of a particular level or program, we may be able to accommodate that request.
For example, a dancer interested specifically in ballet may be able to enroll in ballet without participating in every discipline included within their level.
Please speak with an SPA faculty member so we can help determine the best program and payment option for your dancer.
Class Placement
Students are placed in SPA programs according to ability, development, experience, and individual educational needs.
Our preschool programs generally follow age ranges more closely. As dancers progress into our Stars, Mini, Junior, and Senior levels, placement becomes increasingly based on ability.
For new students, an SPA faculty member will gladly evaluate your dancer to help determine the most appropriate level.
Our goal is to make sure each student is placed in an environment where they can be challenged, supported, successful, and excited to continue learning.
Important Class Information
A minimum of five students per class is generally required for a class to remain on the schedule. If enrollment falls below five students, class times may be adjusted.
SPA asks all dancers to follow the attire requirements established for their program. No bare midriffs, please. Tights are required in applicable classes unless otherwise directed by the classroom instructor.
Specific shoe styles and colors may vary by level. Please check with your instructor before purchasing dance shoes if you are unsure of the requirements.
Let Your Dance Story Begin
Maybe your dancer is two years old and walking into a dance studio for the very first time.
Maybe they already love performing and want to explore ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Hip Hop, or Acro.
Maybe they dream of one day dancing en pointe.
Or maybe they’re simply looking for a place to move, learn, make friends, build confidence, and discover something they love.
Whatever their dance story looks like, we would love for Studio for the Performing Arts to be part of it.
